Bleepify vs Nofanity: Editing Files or Filtering YouTube Playback?
Do you need a clean file to publish, or do you want to watch YouTube with fewer swear words? That is the most useful starting point when comparing Bleepify and Nofanity.
Bleepify is the publisher of this comparison. This is a workflow comparison, not an independent accuracy benchmark. We have not run a controlled head-to-head test.

What Nofanity offers
Nofanity’s official site describes a Windows and Mac application for filtering YouTube playback, with beep, mute and skip options and adjustable filter levels. Its personal offering is listed as free. It also lists a custom business offering and a separate mobile music app; check those products directly for their current scope and terms.
That is different from the text-chat API and fixed monthly price described in an earlier version of this article. Those descriptions have been removed. Check the official site before choosing a platform or making a purchase.
What Bleepify offers
Bleepify works on recorded audio and video. Upload your file, review the timed transcript and choose which words to cover. You can keep words that fit your audience, select custom terms and listen to the result before sharing it.
For repeated episodes or client edits, use a consistent word list and check each recording. A list that works for one guest may need adjustments for another accent, microphone or background track. Batch uploads are available on eligible paid access; compare current plans for allowances and limits.
The free speech allowance is 10 processing minutes per month. Music Mode requires a paid plan or Project Pass. An occasional project can use the $9 Pass with 120 non-expiring paid processing minutes and a 30-day workspace. Subscriptions start at $9.99/month. Check the pricing page for the complete offer.
How to decide
Start with the output you need. For watching YouTube, assess the playback-filtering experience. For publishing your own edited recording, try a representative short file in Bleepify and check the exported result.
Listen around every changed word, including overlapping speakers and quiet speech. We do not claim that one product is universally more accurate. Cleaning profanity also does not guarantee platform approval, monetization or that every part of the content suits your audience.
