Privacy policy

Last updated October 26, 2026

Bleepify operates bleepify.me and app.bleepify.me. We help creators and studios review and censor video and audio, export edited media, and optionally send a finished video to a connected YouTube channel. This policy explains how we handle information when you visit our website, use our application or contact us. For privacy questions or requests, email [email protected].

Information we collect

  • Account and support information: your email address, account identifiers, authentication information, subscription and usage records, preferences, and messages you send us. If you use Google sign-in, Google provides the account identifier and basic profile information authorized on its consent screen, such as your email address and name. We never receive your Google password.
  • Media and project information: files or links you submit, filenames, video/audio content, transcripts, selected edits, processing settings, project metadata and exported results. Cloud processing sends the media needed for your chosen feature to our processing infrastructure and relevant service providers.
  • Payment information: Stripe processes payments. We receive billing and subscription information needed to manage your plan, payment status and usage. Full payment-card details are handled by Stripe rather than stored in Bleepify's application database.
  • Technical and usage information: browser/device details, IP addresses, request and error logs, pages visited, feature interactions and referral information. Cookies and browser storage support sign-in, preferences, attribution and analytics. Where enabled, analytics tools such as PostHog may record interactions to help diagnose usability problems. YouTube authorization and upload request payloads are excluded from session-replay network capture.

How we use information

We use information to create and secure accounts, process the media and edits you request, deliver exports, manage subscriptions and usage limits, provide support, diagnose failures, prevent abuse and comply with applicable obligations. Website and product analytics help us understand how people find and use Bleepify. Contact details may also be used for service notices and optional marketing communications, subject to your choices and applicable requirements.

Depending on the context and applicable law, we process personal information to provide the service you request, with your consent, for legitimate operational and security purposes, or to meet legal obligations. The additional limits on Google user data below apply regardless of our other analytics or marketing activities.

Google and YouTube data

Google sign-in and connecting a YouTube channel are separate choices. Connecting YouTube is optional and is currently in a limited preview. Bleepify uses YouTube API Services to identify your authorized channel and upload a finished video only after you explicitly request it.

Permissions and purpose

  • YouTube read-only permission (youtube.readonly): we request your authorized channel's details and retain its ID and name. We show the destination in your account and upload dialog and use the channel ID to prevent sending or resuming a transfer to the wrong channel. This feature does not use the permission to browse your watch history, subscriptions, comments or playlists.
  • YouTube upload permission (youtube.upload): we send the finished video you select and the title, description, visibility and audience setting you review to Google. Connecting a channel alone does not publish anything. Upload visibility starts as private, and you must choose whether the video is made for kids.

Storage, access and limited use

We store the channel ID and name, an encrypted authorization token, and upload records containing the reviewed title, description, visibility, audience setting, progress and resulting YouTube video ID. Resumable-upload session details are also encrypted. Our server uses authorization tokens to complete requested transfers, including background uploads; tokens are not exposed in the account interface.

Bleepify's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. We use this data to provide the requested sign-in, channel connection and upload features. We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising or credit decisions, or use it to train AI or machine-learning models. We do not use Google APIs to generate non-consensual intimate imagery.

Google user data is shared only as needed to provide these user-facing features with your consent, for security purposes, to comply with applicable law, or in a business transfer with your explicit prior consent. Human access is limited to your affirmative permission, security or abuse investigations, legal requirements, or aggregated internal operations as permitted by Google's policy.

Disconnecting and revoking access

In Bleepify, open Account → YouTube → Disconnect to revoke the connection, stop pending transfers and delete the stored channel connection and upload records. You can also revoke access through Google account permissions. If access is revoked at Google, Bleepify removes unusable credentials when that revocation is detected; contact us if you also want all associated records deleted. Disconnecting or deleting your Bleepify account does not delete videos already delivered to YouTube. Manage those videos in YouTube Studio.

Your use of the YouTube connection is also subject to the YouTube Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy.

Sharing and service providers

We use service providers for hosting, databases, media storage and processing, payments, email, analytics and support. They receive the information needed for their role: for example, processing services receive content required to perform your requested edit, Stripe receives payment details, and Google receives a video when you request a YouTube upload. Infrastructure providers host the stored connection data; we do not send YouTube authorization tokens to advertising or AI-training services.

We may disclose information when needed to comply with law, protect users and the service, or handle a business transaction, subject to the stricter Google-data limits above. Our infrastructure and providers may process information outside your country. Applicable privacy protections and transfer requirements continue to apply.

Retention, security and deletion

  • Cloud project media: paid plans retain media while paid access is active. Free-tier media is retained for 30 days. Canceling or downgrading a paid plan starts a 30-day grace period before media deletion.
  • YouTube records: completed, failed or canceled upload records are removed after 30 days. A channel connection remains until disconnected, removed through account deletion, or an unusable grant is detected. Active transfers retain the data needed to finish or resolve the upload.
  • Account and operational records: retained as needed to provide your account and support, secure the service and meet billing, tax or legal obligations. You may request account deletion using the account controls or contact address below.

We use HTTPS, access controls and encryption for stored YouTube tokens and transfer-session credentials. No system can guarantee absolute security. Account deletion includes removing the stored YouTube connection and transfer records. Removal from external processors and backups can take additional time; backup copies remain outside ordinary use until expiry, and recorded deletions are reapplied before a backup is restored to service. We may retain limited records required by law or needed to honor an opt-out.

Your choices and rights

You can disconnect YouTube without deleting your Bleepify account, revoke Google permissions, manage available cookie/browser-storage settings, and unsubscribe from optional marketing emails. Blocking necessary cookies may affect sign-in and other functionality.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, and complain to a data protection authority. Use the account deletion controls or email [email protected] with your request. We may need to verify account ownership before releasing or deleting information.

Responsible use and children

Bleepify is a media-editing tool for creators, studios and authorized educators. Its visual-censoring feature detects and covers regions in existing footage; it does not create nude imagery, remove clothing or reconstruct censored content. Using Bleepify to create or distribute non-consensual intimate imagery, including AI-generated imagery, is prohibited. Only submit content you have the rights and permissions to process.

Bleepify is not directed to children under 13. Educators and organizations are responsible for appropriate permissions before submitting media involving other people, including children. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate authorization.

Policy updates and contact

We will update this page and its revision date when our practices change. Material changes will be communicated as appropriate. If a change introduces a new use of Google user data, we will notify you and request the necessary consent before that use begins. Questions and privacy requests: [email protected].
